Kona Coffee Purveyors opened our doors in 2016 as a conduit for coffee lovers to get an authentic Kona Coffee experience, one of the world’s most recognized coffee origins. In order to provide the best experience for our customers, we partnered with b. Patisserie, and built a home for them in our cafe so we could pair the best Kouign Amanns with the best Kona Coffee. We are hiring a Cafe Leader to oversee and direct the cafe and bakery operation of Kona Coffee Purveyors’ flagship store in the heart of Waikiki, Hawaii. Cafe Leaders are responsible for the overall success of our flagship store. They hire and build strong teams and are focused on training and developing each team member and future leader. They are responsible for the guest experience as well as the financial and operational goals of this store. You are: A basketball team coach: strategize your team to run a smooth and efficient operation, each day comes with a different challenge and should be met with a competitive spirit. An entrepreneur: React and see opportunities to help sales on the bar, at the pastry case, in the retail room making bean sales, and at the tartine station - customers are excited to experience all these stations. A food critic: See the products and help to make adjustments with the team to ensure the highest quality products are produced each and every day. You have an eye for quality and a love for our products and will help guide the team with this understanding. A strong communicator and never cease to allow miscommunication Never satisfied with status quo and always push to guide the team Always a cleaner: Help to maintain and oversee cleanliness in the cafe Always excited to welcome and service as many customers that come into our store. We want to make excellent coffee and pastries, but we also need to have solid systems in place to make sure we can scale them. This is the heartbeat of our operation and everyone on our team has to share this same passion. A shining example of well behavior and high performance and dedication to the mission of Kona Coffee Purveyors Scheduler: create and maintain team schedule to balance individual, team and cafe needs while taking into consideration holiday scheduling and also knowing how to adjust staffing on days when the team needs more or less members on the floor. The X-Factor Influencer: you make things happen and your energy and spirit are leading the team and customer experience Physicality of A Cafe Leader: Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the day Your energy will encourage and guide the team Your hands are capable of adapting to the day, finesse on the bar and handling product, but can also be strong and manage deliveries and be able to handle 50 pounds of beans, kegs, paper good deliveries, trash, milk and bakery goods Be adept and comfortable with your body to handle ladders Be able to taste and smell so you can ensure coffee standards and bakery goods are up to company standards A role model of good manners and discipline, to listen and speak to customers to guide and maintain a positive work environment
